Viscosity of Paraffin Wax
Description
Paraffin wax is derived from so-called slack wax. This is a mixture of oil and wax which occurs during the refining process of lubricating oils.
It is used for making candles, coatings, lubricants, separating agents, in the food industry (food-grade paraffin wax), in the pharmaceutical industry and for many other purposes. The viscosity tables show examples for different candle waxes and for different wax types used in the food industry.
The temperature scan was performed on candle wax, measuring from 135°C down to 50°C. There are no values available below 60°C, because the wax solidified and no stable measuring values were obtained.
